A
few times a year Durham Region registered nurses come in to administer needles to grade 7 & 8 students. It was my pleasure last year to be at all clinics as the parent council representative.
I was there with cookies and juice for your children after their needle, but more importantly offering comfort prior to the needle for those that were nervous. It's comforting to have a fimilar
face when moms and dads aren't able to be there. The nurses also appreciate having an extra adult present that knows the children and can help to keep them claim.

receive three "thank you's" by the Durham Region nurses last year.
I
also received a sore left hand from a nervous grade 8....lol.
